MAKE SURE THE NOZZLE IS AS CLOSE TO THE SUBSTRATE AS POSSIBLE TO AVOID STRINGING 

The nozzle should always be situated as close to the substrate as possible. This is particularly critical on fast production lines. As soon as the adhesive leaves the nozzle it starts to cool, and this issue is exacerbated on fast lines where the adhesive is trying to land on a substrate travelling at speed.

Imagine trying to tip a cup of coffee out of a moving car and have it land in one spot. It will spread into a line which will be longer, the faster the car is travelling. Then imagine doing the same thing from the top of a double decker bus. The result will be far from precise and far from hot by the time it hits the ground. The neatest way would be by tipping it out as close to the ground and as fast as possible

TEAM TALK

October brought our quarterly staff meeting, which for Alphabond means food, food and more food 🍕 This time round we made our own personalised naanizzas and cooked them in pizza ovens.

We also had the great idea of doing it on one of the wettest days of the year! Not to worry though, a quick trip to buy a gazebo and we were back in business.
